Good sea cave and lagoon trips in Italy sell out weeks ahead in high season and the early departures go first. Below: the 10 to book now, what each includes and how they differ.
From Marina Grande, you will circle Capri for about two hours with an Italian and English-speaking captain, passing the Faraglioni, Casa Malaparte, Green Grotto, and Punta Carena. The Blue Grotto stop is optional, costs €18 by rowboat, and depends on sea conditions and waiting time.

Cruise Capri’s coast in a small boat for about two hours, stopping at the White Grotto, Natural Arch, Faraglioni, Marina Piccola, and Green Grotto. You’ll have time for photos, a swim when conditions allow, snacks, bottled water, Caprese cake, and a limoncello tasting. Captains such as Roberto, Dino, and Davide may lead the trip.

Circle Ortigia by boat, view Castello Maniace and Siracusa from the water, enter sea caves when conditions allow, and pause for a short swim. English-speaking guides may include Ninni, Nunzio, Mattia, or Leticia. Boats hold up to 30 people, with smaller boats also used.

Spend about nine hours sailing from Sorrento to Capri with a maximum of 12 people. Expect grottos, Faraglioni views, swimming, drinks, a Caprese sandwich, and about four hours ashore. Guides such as Marcello, Vito, and Cataldo are praised for friendly service, but the Blue Grotto depends on sea conditions, queues, and local rules.

Cruise the Venetian Lagoon to Murano and Burano with a multilingual guide, a Murano glass-blowing demonstration, and free time on both islands. You will see San Giorgio, Certosa, and Sant Erasmo from the water, but the short stops and groups of up to 50 make this a fast introduction rather than a leisurely island visit.
“When we all arrived to go on the boat there was an issue and they tried to tell some of us to wait for the next tour 2 hrs later and it went for a longer time. None of us wanted to go on that one so after much talking and begging to be allowed to go they reluctantly let us on. The 1st island Morano was interesting watching them make the glass but you could go by yourself and see the same thing. The next island was beautiful and much more to see but not enough time to really enjoy it. Would recommend doing this trip yourself”
Join Laser Capri at Marina Grande for a two-hour boat ride around Capri’s dramatic coast. An English and Italian-speaking skipper points out Tiberius’s Leap, Arco Naturale, the Faraglioni, and several caves. You may add the Blue Grotto, but entrance costs about €19 and waits can be long.
